Excellent On Electricity Consumption, Flatscreen TV uses more electricity to run....
3 PC fans on top keep air cooling to LED's which only get little warm without a cooling system..
My Client/Friend tells me the plants are loving it, and his electricity bill has been cut by 3/4 from CFL's he been using... I knew LED's do work, but never tried UFO and the price is worth the saving in electricity and accidents with fragile CFL's or HPS bulbs....

Very Very Impressed by this UFO light....

I purchased this Item for my sister who is fighting cancer and on a living food diet. foolishly i followed a google link and description and just purchased the 90w ufo light that the link led me to. It is now in situe and her salad crops are looking very sad and loosing leaves. this may be because of shock but i beleive it is because i didnt read the full product description and have purchased a lamp with 60 3w led's and not the one she required which was the 90 1w unit. time will tell if i have failed her and her salad. other than that it was easy to install and is of great quality and if it wouldnt cause more damage to her crops returning it at this stage i would and purchase the 90w 1w unit.
Please make item descriptions more clear for idiots like me and novice gardeners who do not understand that anything over 1w is useless and anything under 90/1w will proberbly not work.. more later

Lights are great, took me a while to get used to the light colour but the plants seem happy and thriving, much cheaper to run than traditional lights and they produce very little heat. All good so far.
Happy with service and quick delivery, as well as securely packaged, so would order from here again.
Only downside is the power lead could be longer but not a huge problem.
Over all would recommend this product and company ( I very rarely leave feedback but was impressed, so took the time to do so)

I cannot comment on the performance of the light as I will not know the results until next year. I can commetn on what I've seen so far and that is:
The light has no switch so it turns on and off from the mains (not a major problem but would like a switch on the light unit itself)
Very good value for money, cheap electricity costs for LED (as opposed to HID lighting)

Great service. I have been using HID's but found that I could not rely on them always striking which meant I came home to a cold dark grow tent. Not funny. As the UFO does not need a ballast box they come on as a house light bulb will, the HID's being more like hit and miss fluorecent tubes. I have an energy meter which shows that I will save a LOT in energy costs and these are the recommended 1w/led power rating, any less and you loose penetration any more and you start to get power wastage. All in all very happy.

The item arrived quickly and fully matched the description. I'm very happy with it, and I think my plant likes it too! The only thing I would comment negatively on is that the warranty seal was fully broken on arrival.

Information quoted from wikipedia relating to LED Grow Lamps
LED grow lamps

LED panel light source used in an experiment on plant growth by NASA. Pictured plant is a potato plant.Recent advancements in LEDs have allowed for the production of relatively cheap, bright, and long lasting grow lights that emit only the wavelengths of light corresponding to chlorophyll's absorption peaks. These lights are attractive to indoor growers since they do not consume as much power, do not require ballasts, and produce a fraction of the heat of HID lamps. Since there is a significant reduction in heat, time can be extended between watering cycles because the plants transpire less under LED grow lights. A caution is warned to those growing with LEDs not to over water the plants.

There are four chlorophyll absorption peaks and LED grow lights use four different types of LEDs to hit all four peaks (two red and two blue).[3] Early LED grow lamps used hundreds of fractional watt LEDs and were not effective replacements for HID lamps. Newer advanced LED grow lamps use automotive grade 2-3 watt LEDs and have shown similar results to HID lamps.

[edit] Use
Grow lights are usually used for indoor gardening, plant propagation and food production, including indoor hydroponics and aquatic plants. Although most grow lights are used on an industrial level, some small-scale/domestic usage of these lamps has also been found.

According to the inverse square law, the intensity of light radiating from a point source (in this case a bulb) that reaches a surface is inversely proportional to the square of the surface's distance from the source. So if an object is twice as far away, it receives only 1/4 the light. This is a serious hurdle for indoor growers, and many techniques are employed to use light as efficiently as possible. Reflectors are thus often used in the lamps to maximize light efficiency. Plants or lights are moved as close together as possible so that they receive equal lighting and that all light coming from the lamps wind up on the plants (rather than partly besides it). Often, the distance between lamp and plant is in the range of 24 inches (with incandescent lamps), up to 4 inches (with other lamps as compact, large and high-output fluorescent lamps).[4] Many home gardeners cover the walls of their grow-room with a reflective material, or alternatively, white paint to maximize efficiency.
